    This course is intended for first-gen BIPOC students who are interested in learning how to apply to graduate school.

  • How long does it take to complete the course?

    The course includes 10 modules with a total of three hours of video instruction. Keep in mind that there are homework assignments and handouts to review in each module. The intended timeframe is to go through the material gradually in 8-10 weeks but you can work at whatever pace is best for you.

  • How long will I have access to the course?

    You will have unlimited access to the course and can go back to access the course content at any time.

Dra. Yvette Martinez-Vu

Dra. Yvette Martínez-Vu is a chronically ill and neurodivergent Chicana academic coach, author, and speaker. She has a Ph.D. in Theater and Performance Studies and Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from UCLA. She is the producer and host of the top-rated Grad School Femtoring Podcast and founder of Grad School Femtoring, LLC where she empowers first-generation students of color as they navigate higher education. Dr. Yvette is the co-author of the forthcoming book, Is Grad School For Me?: Demystifying the Application Process for First-Gen BIPOC Students with the University of California Press, and co-editor of the bestselling Chicana M(other)work Anthology with the University of Arizona Press.
